The coronavirus outbreak has left us desperate for donations with demand only increasing as the crisis continues

You can drop-off urgently needed food donations to Boldon Lane Library. Or our supermarket donation points; OR, if you’re in a position to, you can make a financial donation via the KEY Project’s website (See link below) – all donations will go directly to the foodbank  – unless you specify your donation is intended for the provision of services for young people at KEY. We are now distributing Family Food Packs with sufficient food for a family one week. We’re so incredibly grateful for our community’s support – thank you

Excited to see progress on our food bus 🚌 project. South Shields MP Emma Lewell-Buck, Feeding Britain and Key2Life have been working on this for a long time. The team visited Stagecoach Shields depot to see it at last. Big thanks to Gary for donating it.

In July, we ask parents to donate school uniforms that their children have out-grown and also school bags, shoes and other items. Our volunteers wash and iron them and then they are sorted in ages and individual schools.

In August, parents are invited to come and choose items for their children. Uniforms are available all year round at KEY 2 Life and for families new to South Tyneside , asylum seeker and traveller families. In 2018-19, 300 families benefitted.
